About

Beth Hope, founder of Wanda Digital Learning, smiling.

I’m Beth Hope, founder and Digital Learning Consultant.

I started out as a Learning Design Associate at a leading UK agency, then moved into in-house L&D teams. Along the way I've designed for large financial, pharmaceutical and legal firms, and a small cycling charity.

Working in-house showed me the other side of digital learning – the LMS reports, the compliance calendar, the subject experts with no time to spare. A great course is only half the job. It also has to work on your platform, get through your sign-off and fit into your people's day.

When you work with Wanda, you work with me, from the first conversation to the final review.

Wanda’s design principles

Every piece of learning I make is built using these four concepts.

Curiosity

Every piece starts with a question worth answering. When people want to know what happens next, they pay attention, and they remember.

Practice

People learn by doing, not clicking through. Realistic decisions and opportunities to apply what they know mean their knowledge lasts beyond the course.

Story

Built from real lived experiences, case studies and problems. When people see their own working day in the learning, it means something.

Reflection

Moments to pause and think about their own thinking, so people take what they've learned back to their work.

Putting it into practice

Three projects, three very different problems – and what changed for the people involved.
